Commercial, Industrial, & Domestic Water-Based Systems
Steam Exchangers
Adnvanced Steam Technology’s XE Vertical Heat Exchanger is a revolutionary steam control system custom-designed for implementation in larger facilities. Its unique characteristics reduce greenhouse emissions, as the system consumes less fuel and reduces flash steam emissions. It also reduces operation costs and facility carbon footprint, and is available at a lower installation cost.
The XE steam exchanger systems are available in multiple sizes:
Units can be duplexed for higher capacity and redundancy. Allows for high-efficiency operation on steam pressures up to 175 psig.
SYSTEM BENEFITS
Increased energy efficiency
Reduced wasteful flash steam venting, utilizes steam wasted by other heaters while saving 20% of energy at 125 psig steam and 5% at 15 psig steam.
Economical Installation
Lower installation costs due to simpler design and fewer control devices, simple installation requires only 4 connections, and reduce steam pipe size and cost.
Better Temperature Control Accuracy
Control liquid leaving temperature at +/- 2F for huilding heat and at +/- 4F for domestic water.
Small footprint
reduce greenhouse emissions since the system consumes less fuel and reduces emission of flash steam.
Skid-mounted/pre-piped
A practical design that reduces water consumption focuses on efficiency and sustainability
LEED Certifiable
For energy savings and innovation points in a LEED-certifiable design.
Design Simplicity Yields
Higher Efficiency
The XE design extracts extra energy from condensate by using the lower part of the heat exchanger. This simple design also eliminates wasteful flash steam venting because of the lower outbound condensate temperature.
The primary control valve adjusts the amount of flooding to meet the heat demand. Often times a pump is not needed to lift the condensate, because unlike a modulated steam unit, 100 psi is pushing the condensate.
